National Dueco

Take a step back to the 1930’s and pick up a new National Duolian with Dueco (or Duco) finish. Today’s version is a dead-ringer for the originals, less the 80 or so years of aging. Oh, and the fingerboard is ebony, the fretwork is perfect, there’s a truss-rod, the intonation is great, it’s well set-up, and it comes with a real nice hardshell case!

The guitar’s Dueco finish is the creation of B. Fanatic Guitarworks, a third-party company National out-sources the custom finishing of these guitars to. They’ve somehow managed to figure out the secret to the random crystalline appearance of the 1930’s Duolians. The rest of the guitar is essentially an NRP steel model, but with bone nut and white-button tuners. It’s a beautiful thing.
