1935 National Squareneck Duolian
Serial # C9695. The Hawaiian Square Neck Duolian is one of the less common budget National models, but certainly among the prettiest. With its one-owner playwear, Frosted Duco finish and eighty years of worn edges, dents, and dirt, this Duolian ranks up there with the best looking guitars we've offered through the years. It's also as original as they come.
14 fret Duco finished steel body with a 12 fret square neck, rolled F holes, high bone nut, slotted headstock, shield decal, and Waverly strip tuners. Body seams are all tight, tailpiece is in good shape, nut and tuners have never been removed, and it looks like the coverplate hasn't been either. Simply beautiful finish and worn to match. The guitar's only flaw is a missing fingerboard dot.
The Duolian is completely playable and a very fine sounding guitar. Its tone is quite unlike most any other square-neck -- with a sweet lo-fi brashness - and it does what it does well.
With hardshell case
