2007 Nuhn K4 Mandocello

With its 16” wide body that measures 4” deep, this one-of-a-kind Mandocello by luthier Bill Nuhn is styled after Gibson K-4 ‘cellos built about one hundred years back. It’s a stunning instrument, with a huge, deep, and expressive voice, and it’s completely inspiring to play. If a mandolin and a piano met at a smoky jazz club in the 1940s…

The instrument is in perfect condition and shows very little, if any, playwear. The frets are nicely dressed and the set-up is excellent. Perfect neck angle and excellent top arch. K&K pickup professionally installed.

Maple and spruce, with ebony fingerboard and rosette. Gold hardware and pearl rosette. Gloss lacquer finish. 24-3/8” scale.

With extra heavy-duty fiberglass flight case.
