Taylor 812 12-Fret Custom
A custom-ordered 12-fret 800 level Grand Concert with V-Class bracing, this 812 was built without pickup or cutaway. It’s a notch simpler than a standard 812ce and will appeal to the acoustic purist who favors the feel of a Taylor GC but wants the lightest and most acoustically responsive version possible. Taylor doesn’t build too many high-end guitars without cut-away and pickups, and the 812 isn’t even listed in their catalog any longer. But that doesn’t make us like it any less. We love the increase in air volume and the less dampened tone of this guitar.
Rosewood and sitka spruce with wooden bindings and extra thin finish. V-Class bracing, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a slotted headstock. 1-3/4” nut width, 24-7/8” scale.
