1971 Fender Vibrolux Reverb
With 35 watts, a pair of 10” speakers and 6L6 Power section, Fender’s Vibrolux Reverb is often considered the perfect Fender amp. It’s powerful enough to offer a lot of clean headroom but compresses just enough to add a little sustain and a touch of dirt when driven harder. The paired 10” speakers provide a wide expanse of sound, chewy and thick midrange, nice definition up top and powerful and well-articulated low end.
This example is a strong and healthy sounding Silverface, with dreamy reverb and a well selected pairing of speakers. It’s been modded back to AA763 blackface specs with the addition of reverb on the ‘normal’ channel and has some seriously good sound as a result. Death cap has been clipped and grounding updated for safe use.
The replaced speakers are a recent Jensen C10Q and a Weber 10F150-T.
Cosmetically excellent, with no rips, tears, stains, or damage. Footswitch not included.
