2011 Gibson Johnny A

The Johnny A Signature model was Gibson’s most popular Custom Shop artist model from its introduction in 2003 throughout its roughly 10 year production run. A very distinctively designed instrument, the Johnny A features a fully-hollow, 14.25” wide, thinline double-cut body with carved mahogany back and figured maple top, a longer 25.5” scale neck, and unique F-holes and appointments. Electronics are a pair of 57 Classic humbuckers wired in typical Gibson fashion, and the hardware is all gold plated, including the guitar’s B7 Bigsby tailpiece.

Multi-layered purflings border the body, neck and headstock, and the ebony fingerboard features pearl fan-style Johnny A inlays. The neck has a modern C carve with 1-11/16” width at the nut.

This example is in near-mint condition and has just been set-up here. There’s not a mark on it, no fretwear, and the rubber protector is still on the Bigsby’s arm. Original COA is in the case pocket.
