2001 Taylor 614e-LTD Lefty
A unique left-handed Custom Taylor 614e. This model was originally issued as part of Taylor’s Fall Limited lineup in 2001 as the 614ce-LTD, but this one was ordered without cutaway or pickup. In 2009 it was brought to the factory in El Cajon for an Expression System installation, bone nut and saddle, and new Gotoh 510 tuning machines. The guitar remains in near-mint condition and shows almost no playwear. It’s just enjoyed a set-up here at Folkway and plays beautifully.
Sitka spruce and highly figured maple body with abalone pearl top purflings and rosette, white bindings, and gloss sunburst finish. Bound ebony fingerboard with pearl inlays, gold tuning machines. Bone nut and compensated saddle, ebony bridge pins with abalone inlays. 1-3/4 nut width, 25.5” scale.
