2011 Martin D-35MP
Built in limited numbers about a decade back, Martin’s D-35MP was a non-Custom Shop upgraded D-35 that was built with Madagascar rosewood back, sides, and headstock overlay, and featured the then-new Performance neck taper, which combines a 1-3/4” nut with a modern rounded oval feel and 2-3/16” string spread at the bridge.
This example remains in near-new condition and shows just about no playwear to its frets, pickguard, and finish. It’s been set-up here and plays like a brand-new guitar should. It predates the Martin binding-issue years, too, which is a nice plus.
Sitka spruce top with straight ¼” wide X bracing for added low-end warmth and rumble, three-piece Madagascar back with style 28 purflings, vintage-style Ivoroid bindings to the body, fingerboard, and heel-cap, black pickguard, gold foil logo, nickel Grover rotomatic tuners.
