A fabulously clean and original late 1970’s Fender Stratocaster. With its natural finish over ash body, large CBS era headstock, black pickguard and parts, chrome F-tuners, and dark rosewood fretboard, this guitar captures the guitar design ethos of that era wonderfully!
Completely original including all finish, solder, plastic, and frets, this Stratocaster has led a sheltered life for the last 40+ years. It’s been set-up here and plays easily with original frets that are much less worn than they ought to be. Original bridge cover, Schaller strap buttons. The finish is largely free of wear, but does show a small patch of belt wear on the back, and a rather insignificant assortment of minor dings.
Pickups, pots, neck, and serial number all date to 1979. Pickups read 5.8k, 6k, and 6k. The neck has a fairly deep feel with a round carve and a curved Indian rosewood board. Neck depth is a chunky .91” at the 1st fret and .93” at the 12th. 8.9 lbs.
With non-original hardshell case.
