2006 Collings 290DC, TV Yellow

The Collings 290 DC is a late 50's inspired double-cut slab-body, with a round and deep C shaped set-in neck and serious rock ’n’ roll pedigree. Based on one of the most iconic electric guitar designs to come out of a certain factory in Kalamazoo, the 290 DC offers vintage flair matched with the impeccable build quality that Collings instruments are famous for.

This 2006 290DC is a wonderful tribute to the Les Paul Special guitars of the late 1950s. Used in professional settings over the last two decades, this guitar has developed an attractive natural patina on its TV Yellow finish. Playwear includes minor chips, dents, and light finish crazing and can be found throughout the guitar. The original frets show even wear that’s light to moderate. Playability remains uncompromised and the set up is excellent.

Outfitted with a pair of aftermarket Lindy Fralin hum-canceling P-90 pickups, this Collings 290 is an incredibly stage-friendly instrument that will be significantly quieter in a live setting than its vintage counterpart with original P-90 pickups. With a fresh set-up by our repair team and a neck carve that rivals most golden-era Gibsons in terms of comfort, this 2006 Collings offers excellent playability and performance.

This 290 DC delivers the perfect combination of '50s-inspired feel, tone and aesthetic with modern build quality, durability, and performance.
