Martin’s D-35 received the same 2025 upgrades as the rest of the company’s standard series; but similar to the D-28; the top’s braces were left unscalloped. (Scalloped top bracing can be found on the Martin HD-35.) With its ¼” wide GE-patterned non-scalloped braces, the D-35 is already one of the most lightly braced guitars in the lineup and offers more low end presence to the already boldly voiced rosewood dreadnought design. The D-35 is the quintessential strumming guitar, and the perfect choice for backing up vocals. Fingerpickers will enjoy its mellow expressiveness.
Indian rosewood three piece back and sides, Sitka spruce top with forward shifted straight bracing, mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, 25.4” scale, 1-3/4” nut, and modified low oval carve. Antique white bindings with multi-stripe purflings, bevelled tortoise-celluloid pickguard, high gloss lacquer finish. Old style CF Martin headstock logo, Grover tuners, and bone nut and saddle.
The Y25 redesigns include Golden Era bracing with 30’s style bridgeplate and bridge, angled bottom nut, rolled fretboard edges, and bone bridge pins. Satin finished neck. 1-3/4” nut width, 25.4” scale, low-oval neck carve.
With deluxe hardshell case.
