Designed as part of Martin's Women and Music series, the 00-16 DBFM was produced in limited numbers between the late 1990s and early 2000s. This 00-sized guitar features a deep body depth of 3-3/4" at the neck and 4-1/2" at the end block, which helps it sound like a larger guitar than it actually is. This example of the 00-16 DBFM features a scalloped-braced spruce top and big leaf maple back and sides.

A powerful 00 with a fair amount of punch for its size, this 00-16DBFM is a wonderfully versatile guitar. The guitar's deep body construction imparts a wonderfully rich and open quality to the instrument's voice, while also adding to its overall bass response and headroom. If you're looking for an option outside the OM or Dreadnought world that handles both flatpicking and fingerstyle playing well, this 00-16 is one to strongly consider.

This quarter-century-old Martin remains in excellent condition. Playwear is minimal, and fretwear is essentially nonexistent. It’s in great shape.

Sitka Spruce top with big leaf maple back and sides. Maple neck with a mahogany centre strip. Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Mahogany binding with "rope" purflings throughout. Wooden mosaic rosette and back strip. Gold-plated Waverly tuners. Label hand-signed by C.F. Martin IV.

Scale length of 25.4", nut width of 1-11/16", 1st fret depth of 0.815", and 9th fret depth of 0.901". String spacing of 2-5/32" at the bridge. Weight of 4lbs 1oz.
