A refined guitar steeped in vintage pedigree, Atkin's LG47 is a tribute the LG-2 guitars produced in Kalamazoo in the early post-war era. A lightly-built small-bodied guitar with a scalloped-braced torrefied Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, 24-7/8” short scale neck, and a small rectangle bridge, “The Forty Seven” is a responsive and touch-sensitive instrument that is strong and punchy through the mids with classic small-bodied LG-2 trebles that are sweet, round, and full.
The LG47 features a sunburst top, firestripe pickguard, simple appointments, bone nut and saddle, and strip-style tuners. The lacquer finish has a gently aged look with fine craze lines throughout.
The neck has a full C carve with a 1st fret depth of .875” and a 9th fret depth of 0.905". This LG47 has been custom ordered with a nut width of 1-3/4". Bridge pin spacing is 2-9/32”.
With deluxe hardshell case.
