Making its debut in mid 1960, the Fender Jazz Bass marked the continued expansion of their "Off-Set" line of instruments while offering a more deluxe option for bassists to choose, if desired.

A great looking budget-friendly Jazz Bass from the late 1960s, this 1969 build features an attractive refinish to its neck and body but is otherwise largely original. With it’s original and unmodified pickups and original potentiometers, this '69 Jazz Bass delivers uncompromised, authentic vintage Fender tone at an attractive price point. Replacement strap buttons, string tree, and a few screws are the only non-original parts.  Set up in-house, this 1969 Jazz Bass plays very well with its original low frets. Its upper frets were just dressed in our shop in order to remedy a rise at the fingerboard extension, however, some minor buzzes persist on certain notes higher up the fingerboard.

As vintage Jazz Bass prices have continued to climb in recent years, it's always refreshing to have an excellent player's grade example like this one come along that can still be had for less than a new Custom Shop Fender.
