From what we like to call Taylor’s Golden Era, this exquisite 914ce features an X-braced Sitka top with abalone pearl binding, fretboard surround and rosette; rosewood back and sides with Taylor’s long-time iconic red purflings and rosewood bindings, ES2 on board electronics, and venetian cut-away Grand Auditorium body.
The neck is dressed up with abalone 900 series inlays to the headstock and rosewood bound ebony fretboard, and antique gold Gotoh 510 tuners.
It’s a stunning guitar, and, thanks to its responsive X bracing, it offers a well-matched tonal response. Expect a deep bass, open and airy midrange, and full-bodied trebles with a touch of sparkle. Equally suited to fingerstyle or strumming, it should be easy to fall in love with this Taylor 914ce.
The guitar is in excellent condition and has been carefully setup in our shop. There is almost no playwear to this guitar’s finish and frets, and the neck’s satin finish has only barely started to gloss-up. There’s one tiny ding on the body’s edge binding that’s hard to notice, and a few near-invisible dings on the headstock’s edges.
The neck as a rounded feel and medium depth. 1-3/4” width at the nut, .832” depth at the 1st fret. 25.5” scale, 2-3/16” string spread at the saddle.
With original hardshell case.
