Designed from the ground up, the 470JL features a fully hollow one-piece mahogany body with a trestle center-block and laminated maple top for light weight and feedback resistance, and a super-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish with a slightly antiqued patina. The neck has a unique carve with a deep and round C\/V hybrid shape, a nut of 1-11\/16”, 24-7\/8” scale, 12” radius fingerboard, and a flush cutaway. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eRon Ellis was brought on to custom-create pickups that have a higher output and true single-coil clarity, combining the characteristics of two of the best sounding pickups of the 1950s – The DeArmond Dynasonics and those from a Fender Telecaster – into his Ellisonics which are only available in this model. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe guitar is stunning to look at, beguiling to play, and some serious ear-candy for single-coil players.
