Larrivée spent the better part of three years experimenting with finishes and came full circle to settle on an ultra-thin traditional varnish to maximize tone; it just so happens that it looks beautiful too! The gold-plated cast tailpiece and tuning machines were custom designed to Jean Larrivée's specifications. Attractive grained ivoroid bindings, pearl headstock inlay complete the instrument tastefully, while an ebony radiused fingerboard and a perfectly fit Loar-style adjustable bridge provide comfortable playing and ensure excellent tone.
