The neck features Style 45 inlays and multi-layer bindings, gold tuners, an angled-bottom nut, and a new neck carve that’s more graceful than previous iterations. The fretboard’s edge is rolled comfortably, and the new GE-modified low oval neck has become our new favorite Martin carve. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe D-42 features Golden Era top bracing, with forward-positioned X scalloped bracing and a 1930s proportioned bridge plate that’s significantly smaller than any Standard Series model’s bridge plate since the mid 1960s.
