1955 Martin 00-17

Serial # 144307. Here's the guitar so many people have been asking for: an affordable vintage Martin that's been well used but never badly repaired, plays great, and sounds old and warm. Yup, it's all that. Local family owned until now, the guitar saw lots of use at gatherings, reunions and around the campfire, and it has the scars to show it. The finish shows dings, dents and scratches and body edges are worn, but there is no excessive playwear or buckle rash. The frets in the first position are getting tired but still play without issue, and the guitar is 100% original with the exception of the bridgepins. A number of minor cracks have all been repaired by us -- three on the top, one on the back, and a couple of the sides -- and there is a small impact wound near the bottom of the guitar that we left alone. The guitar plays very nicely. It's been set-up by us to our standards. 5-7 64ths at the 12th fret. Compact neck feel with a soft curve and a nutwidth just shy of 1-11/16".

With hardshell case
