2014 Martin OM-28
A very fine Martin OM-28 without any repairs or significant playwear and no sign of any binding separation issues. The guitar has been set-up here at Folkway and plays cleanly and easily with a low fingerstyle set up and 12-53 strings.
Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce, scalloped X bracing with forward positioning, vintage style 28 features including herringbone top purfling, zig-zag backstrip, ivoroid binding, short-pattern diamond and square inlays, open-geared tuners and vintage style logo. 1930’s style belly bridge with drop-in bone saddle, 2-3/16” string spacing and red-eye bridge pins. Comfortable oval neck carve with 1-3/4” bone nut and 25.4” scale.
The guitar is in excellent condition. There are no repairs to speak of, frets show light wear in the first position, and there is the lightest of belt-scratching on the back that’s only visible under certain light. There is no playwear on the guitar’s top and the pickguard is free of any significant pick marks.
A particularly good sounding modern OM, this guitar offers plenty of overall warmth, excellent bass development, strong trebles, and lovely overtone development.
