2017 Gibson SJ-200 Standard

Gibson’s SJ-200 Standard is the company’s flagship flat-top and remains quite similar in specifications and design to the SJ-200’s built through the 1950’s. With 17” of figured maple and perfectly quartered Sitka spruce, the J-200 showcases some of Gibson’s finest tonewoods, and adds accents of gold hardware, pearl inlays, multi-layered bindings, and the iconic moustache bridge and decorated pickguard that have come to define Gibson acoustics.

This example is in perfect condition and has been set-up here at Folkway. Factory-installed LR Baggs Anthem pickup and gold strap button. No repairs, modifications, or issues. Almost no fretwear, and almost no finish flaws.

Big and balanced maple jumbo voice that’s perfect for vocal accompaniment and strumming. These guitars were originally designed for the Cowboy singers of the 1930s and are still perfect in that role today, even if you’re not really a cowboy (or girl).

1-3/4” nut width, round neck, 25.5” scale.
