1960 Fender Champ
A 1960 Fender 5F1 Champ that sounds incredible, having just been fully serviced by Toronto’s Dom Tantalo (our go-to tube amp repair magician, for your reference). Dom corrected a handful of previous repairs and brought the signal-to-noise ratio to an optimal level. The amplifier has a newer Hammond power transformer, filter caps, AC cord, and various caps and resistors that match original circuit values. The tubes date from 1960 and are likely original, as is the 8” speaker. Apart from a replacement handle, the exterior of this Champ is original.
