1974 Fender Telecaster Bass

The mid 1970’s Telecaster Bass is a sister to the Tele Custom of that same period. It features a natural-finished ash body and maple neck, Fender wide-range bass-specific humbucker, and a white three-ply pickguard. It’s a great looking bass, and the pickup is clean and fat, with lots of output.

A wonderfully original instrument that remains in excellent condition, this Telecaster Bass is in great working shape, nicely setup, and has a great neck-feel. It weighs in at 9.9lbs, which is typical for a mid ‘70s Fender and has a comfortably rounded neck with a 1st fret depth of .827 and a nut width of 1-5/8”. 12th fret depth measures .963”, scale is 34”. Both pot codes date to late 1973. The frets have recently been dressed, original electronics spray-cleaned, and flat-wound strings installed.
