Chris Lounsbury Dreadnought

$4120 CAD
Our latest instrument from Chris Lounsbury is a Rosewood Dreadnought with traditional herringbone appointments alongside meticulous hand-crafted detail. A stunning guitar finished in a rich hand-applied French polish, the Lounsbury Dreadought features front and rear headstock overlays, hand-cut "Great Lakes' headstock inlays with ivoroid headstock trim, a classy and tasteful herringbone soundhole rosette, and a good looking tortoise pickguard. Ebony bridge and ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard with ivoroid dots and gold EVO fretwire.

The guitar's Sitka spruce top has a non-traditional X bracing pattern tapered braces and less angle on the lower tone bars. Combined with the guitar's very light build, the Lounsbury Dreadnought has a rich and complex voice with more overtone development and intimacy that what's common among D-sized guitars. The string balance is excellent and the guitar has a sweetness and sensitivity that shines under a lighter to mid-weight touch. It's not a bluegrass powerhouse, but rather a very appealing strumming and fingerstyle Dreadnought with plenty of bass end presence.

The neck has a round carve, 1-3/4” nut width, and 25.4” scale. Bone nut and compensated saddle, black dot pins, and gold Gotoh sealed tuning machines.

With deluxe TKL hardshell case
