2002 Nuhn F-4
$2495 CAD
($1871.25 USD)
Bill Nuhn is a local builder with a background in mandolins and the tool and dye industry. Building mandolin family instruments has always been a part-time pursuit for him, and he’s become a well-regarded figure in the local bluegrass community as such.
This F-4 style instrument was completed in 2002. It features a nicely figured maple back, attractive vintage-style cream bindings and black/white purflings, tasteful and pearl rosette and floral headstock inlays, gold hardware and an oval soundhole. It’s a long-neck design, which F5 players will certainly appreciate too.
The instrument is perfectly set up and has recently been refretted with gold EVO fretwire. Playability is excellent.
A warm and responsive mandolin, this F-4 will appeal to someone looking for an expressive long-neck mandolin that’s nicely suited for solo playing and less raucous jams.
With hardshell case
