Pre-War American Jumbo BRZ - Distress Level 1

The Pre-War American Jumbo, with its CITES certified Brazilian rosewood back and sides and torrefied Adirondack red spruce top, is a bold and powerful slope-shouldered Jumbo that would appeal to just about anyone one who likes Dreadnought sized vintage guitars. Designed to combine the best of 30’s Dreadnought and Jumbo tone, the American Jumbo has incredible bass power, midrange support, and seriously full trebles. It’s a wonderful flat-picker or strummer and makes for a good fingerstyle guitar too. A lightly braced top brings out all the character and nuance, and increases the horsepower significantly. This is a strong and loud guitar when you need it to be but pretties up wonderfully under a lighter right hand.

This example was ordered with Level 1 distressing and has an under-the-bed-for-80-years look to it. The finish shows crazing, but little in the way of wear and tear. The Brazilian rosewood has a very dark hue and some mild figure, the spruce top is highlighted by a 30s style sunburst and dark pickguard. Aged white body and fingerboard bindings, single 3-ply ring rosette, rectangle bridge with through-cut saddle, diamonds and arrowhead inlays in the fingerboard and headstock. Gotoh vintage style tuners, aged bone nut and saddle. 1-11/16” nut, 2-1/4” string spacing at the bridge, 25.4” scale.
