1974 Ampeg SVT Amp with Modern SVT610AV Cabinet

The benchmark of live performance electric bass tone, the Ampeg SVT has been the go-to amp of choice for many of the world’s most influential bassists since its introduction in 1969. With an output of 300 watts there was simply nothing louder on the market in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The SVT was hugely impactful on the future of popular music and the identity of the electric bass, in general.

This 1974 SVT head is completely original and very clean. It’s had a DI output added external to the chassis by strapping a small Hammond transformer to the back of the XLR jack. It’s a handy addition, but easily undoable if desired. The amp works flawlessly despite having never had any servicing.

The cab is a modern Ampeg SVT 6x10 AV, built in 2005. It’s really clean and a nice match to the head, which fits perfectly on it.

This combo is big, heavy, and fabulous. No shipping available.
