1974 Larrivée L-09

A Toronto-made Larrivée L-09 with rosewood back and sides and cedar top. These early Larrivée steel-strings bear little resemblance to modern versions beyond their body outlines; they are hand-built instruments with light bracing, intricate detail, and remarkable tone.

With ample bass-end presence, scooped mids and a bit of sparkle up top, this L-09 is both a great strummer and fingerstyle instrument. It’s surprisingly open and resonant, and offers plenty of strength through the fundamental and a clean overtone palette.

No cracks or obvious repairs apart from a reglued bridge and a clean neck reset. Full height saddle, unworn frets, and original finish and tuners. Low D neck carve with 1-25/32”nut, 2-5/32” string spread at the saddle and 25.6” scale.
