Martin DSS-17 Whiskey Sunset Lefty

An exciting model from Martin that was introduced in early 2019, the DSS-17 is a lightly built slope shouldered mahogany and spruce Dreadnought that features scalloped braces, a small 30's style bridge and matching small maple bridge plate, gorgeous sunburst finish, and a super-comfortable low oval neck with performing artist taper for fast and easy playing.

The DSS-17 is a wonderful sounding guitar, with a tone that blends classic early 1940's Slope-shouldered Dreadnought tone with a modern D-18. It is warm, dark, powerful, and incredibly well balanced, with bold trebles, a full midrange, and well-articulated bass. Great for flat-picking, strumming and fingerstyle, the DSS-17 is a guitar that truly does it all well.

Factory left-handed, 25.4” scale, 1-3/4” nut, and 2-5/32 spacing at the bridge. Whiskey Sunset top finish, vintage cream top binding, unbound back, simple 5-ring rosette, tortoise celluloid pickguard. Bone nut and saddle, Golden Age open-geared Kluson style tuners, vintage style headstock logo. Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

With high quality deluxe hard-sided gigbag.
