2002 Morgan Rosewood Jumbo

A wonderful sounding Rosewood Jumbo built by David Ianone of Morgan guitars, in Vancouver, B.C.. With its 17” wide jumbo body, this guitar can move a lot of air, but it remains a remarkably balanced and strong-sounding instrument with bass and treble power in abundance. It’s a great strummer and flatpicker and is a surprisingly capable fingerstyle guitar too.

Rosewood and Sitka spruce body, with figured maple bindings and Morgan’s trademark royal blue purflings adding a gorgeous detail alongside the maple. Mahogany neck with ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard, pearl and abalone inlays, and ebony headstock overlay. 1-11/16” nut, 25.5” scale.

The guitar is in beautiful condition and doesn’t show its age in the least. There’s only the slightest playwear to the frets and finish. Set-up here at Folkway with 5-6 64ths action.
