We’ve long been fans of cedar-topped rosewood Taylor guitars; we find the mating of these woods and Taylor’s blueprint a magic recipe for incredible sounding flat-tops. We’ve ordered this 414-R with a cedar top and without pickup or cutaway to be able to offer a pro-level purely acoustic fingerstyle guitar at a price point that maximizes value. It’s an exciting guitar, and a wonderful addition to our lineup of regularly stocked Taylor models. Expect a mature and well developed tone, with roundness in the treble range, strength and presence through the mids, and openness, warmth, and articulation in the lows.
