2006 Gibson Les Paul R7 Aged
First equipped with humbuckers in 1957, the Les Paul Goldtop has become one of the most recognizable versions of this iconic guitar. This re-issue stays true to the '57 original with its Goldtop finish, aged white floating pickguard and chunky 50's neck profile. Evidence of the carved maple cap on a mahogany body can be seen in the cutaway just like on the original models as well.
This particular guitar is in great “Aged” condition and sounds just like a Les Paul should thanks, in part, to its Gibson BurstBucker pickups. Nickel hardware, one-piece mahogany neck, binding on body and neck, Tune-O-Matic bridge, CTS pots, bumblebee capacitors and nicely crazed antique gold finish. There is a small chip in one of the headstock corners, a few small dings on the lower back headstock edges, light buckle impressions on the body’s backside, and a few isolated dings on the body edges and neck. The frets show very little playwear, the nut has never been off, and the set-up is excellent.
The neck depth at the 1st fret is .934”, and the nut width is 1-11/16”. The pickup DC values are 7.5(n) and 8.5(b) and the guitar weighs 9.5lbs.
