1959 Gretsch 6125 Anniversary
Serial # 30619. 1958 saw the introduction of a number of models that celebrated the company's 75th anniversary. The 6125 featured the company's new two-tone 'smoke green' finish, an anniversary badge on the headstock, a single PAF Filter'tron pickup, and G-brand tailpiece. It was a handsome guitar, and today is one of the most iconic Gretsch models.
This 6125 is in stunning condition, is completely original, and sounds heavenly. There are no repairs or modifications to the guitar, the original frets don't show much (if any) wear, and the electronics work well. The neck angle is fine, and the binding and pickguard are perfect.
Tressle-braced 16" full depth hollow body, maple laminate construction. Maple neck with ebony fingerboard, thumbprint inlays. 1-11/16" nut, rounded neck carve, 24.5" scale length.
