1959 Harmony Stratotone
Date stamped S-59. Easily the cleanest H-48 Stratotone Mercury we've ever, ever seen. The guitar is perfect and gorgeous. Even cooler that this one dates from 1959; it's not terribly common to find late 1950's versions of this model. It's completely original, and apart from some set-up work done by us, it's untouched.
Maple body, natural finish, bound figured rosewood fingerboard with pearloid inlays. Hollow body construction, DeArmond Goldfoil pickup (they're actually called Golden-Tone pickups), 1-11/16" nut, 24-1/4" scale length. The guitar plays as well as any Harmony; so expect some buzzing in around the 12th fret with those original frets. Down low it plays buzz-free.
With original chipboard case, in similar condition.
