Taylor Builder’s Edition 517
Taylor's Builder Edition 517 features the ever-popular Grand Pacific body shape, V-Class bracing, and a gorgeous aged natural look, thanks to the caramel-hue of the torrefied Sitka top.
The 517 offers something different than any other Taylor that's ever been. With its slope-shouldered Dreadnought body, it has a warm and throaty voice with a rounded and meaty low end, plenty of mid-range chunk, and much thicker trebles than we're all accustomed to hearing in previous Taylor models. The 517 is still very much a Taylor, but one that will appeal to a wider audience of players, and many who never thought a Taylor would be the guitar for them. The guitar has a distinctively vintage-sounding undertone, with Taylor’s wide open low-end, excellent sustain, and touch of treble sparkle added on top.
Rounded and full feeling neck carve with 1-3/4” nut width, 25.5” scale. Mahogany back and sides, torrefied Sitka spruce top, sapele bindings. Silent satin finish, graphtech nut and saddle, ivoroid inlays.
With western floral motif deluxe case
