Handbuilt in Japan, Asturias classical guitars have long been a Folkway Music favorite. The guitars are crafted to the highest standards, and feature beautiful tonewoods, thin finishes, and top-tier fretwork and set up. They are concert-quality instruments, with a lively and punchy midrange, great volume and headroom, and excellent presence.
The Standard cedar features a western red cedar top, laminate rosewood back and sides, traditional fan bracing with a treble-side tone bar added for projection. Bone nut and saddle, 52mm nut, and 650mm scale.

Sadly, our in-stock instrument recently suffered a blow in the store (see photos). We have thoroughly inspected the guitar and found that the damage is strictly cosmetic - it could even be covered by a pickguard if the buyer prefers. As such, the price has been reduced by $500.
