Using their digital signal processing technology, WaveMaps, the Audio Sprockets ToneDexter II preamp allows you to optimize your acoustic tone in a live setting, giving you a much more natural, studio-mic’d sound through just your piezo pickup.
A significant evolution of the original, it still does a great job of restoring the multi-dimensional acoustic character of a studio microphone, and smoothing out the harshness typical of an under saddle pickup, with added features, flexibility, and overall usability.
Expanded routing flexibility includes a configurable FX loop, dual-source input, and MIDI or external foot switch control options. The unit can also be connected to your computer for WaveMap management, software updates, and backups.
The new user-friendly interface of the ToneDexter II features a full-color screen with graphical EQ and WaveMap visualization, and three EQ blocks with HPF, Low/Mid/High parametric EQs.
Additional features include durable optical interrupter foot switches, on-board tuner and boost controls, reverb and anti-feedback features.
Compatible with most acoustic stringed instruments, each WaveMap slot can be configured with their own extensive EQ, level, anti-feedback and tone shaping options. With the option of storing and recalling up to 32 WaveMaps for different microphones, mic positions, and instruments, the Audio Sprockets ToneDexter II is a must have for the refined acoustic performing musician.
