Martin D-18 Authentic 1939
Martin’s D-18 Authentic 1939 offers the tone of a rear-braced pre-war D-18 with a neck that’s less of a handful than earlier Authentic models. With its scalloped bracing, Adirondack spruce top, hide glue construction and ebony fingerboard and bridge, the D18 Authentic has power a-plenty, with huge headroom and an incredible mid-range. It’s a wonderful flat-picker that will leave most other guitars in its wake.
1939 Features include T-bar neck reinforcement, low-gloss lacquer finish, VTS top, and authentic neck carve. Waverly tuning machines, bone nut and through-cut saddle, under-the-finish tortoise-celluloid pickguard and black bindings.
A lightweight powerhouse.
