1962 Gibson ES-345TD
A PAF equipped Stoptail sunburst Gibson ES-345TD that retains its Varitone circuitry but has had a mono jack installed and the magnets reversed in the neck pickup to allow standard in-phase middle switch position tone. It’s an absolutely incredible sounding guitar, with beautiful dynamics, touch-sensitivity and growl; and it’s in gorgeous condition, entirely original but for the switch tip, jack, and one of the tailpiece studs. The original finish and frets are light on playwear, and there’s no ‘funny business’ to report on with this one. Playability is excellent, the neck angle is great, the original no-spring Tune-O-Matic bridge shows no sag or corrosion, and the guitar’s set-up is spot on.
PAF DC values are 7.8 and 7.4k. The neck measures .798” at the 1st fret and .901” at the 12th, the nut width is a bit shy of 1-11/16”, and the guitar weighs in at 7.7 lbs.
A very clean PAF-equipped ES-345. The nut has never been removed, the original tuner buttons are in excellent shape, the magnet flip was done very cleanly, and there are no neck issues of any kind.
With original hardshell case
