1977 Martin 000-18

A crazy-clean Martin 000-18 from the 1970s that has opened up beautifully and offers a warm, dark and open voice. It’s a beautiful fingerstyle guitar with excellent balance and lovely sustain, and it takes well to a light touch. It’s a fabulously inviting instrument.

No cracks, no repairs other than a very clean neck reset and a new bone saddle, perfect fingerstyle set up, and almost no playwear of any kind (we’re ignoring the tiny pickguard margin crack in the above description). Original finish throughout. Unlike the Dreadnoughts, Martin 000s didn't receive large bridgeplates in the late 1960s, and the original bridge plate in this guitar is 50s sized and rosewood; one of the reasons this guitar sounds as good as it does.

Round neck carve with 1-11/16” nutwidth and 1st fret depth of .880”. 24.9” scale.

With original blue hardshell case, and original warranty papers.
