1980 Fender Stratocaster

The classic 70’s three-bolt hardtail ash-bodied Strat. This one is completely original and is great shape, plays well, and has been set-up in our shop. Natural finish, rosewood board, 1-5/8” nut, ‘F’ tuners, and black plastic.

The neck has a fat, deep carve that measures .913” at the 1st fret and .964” at the 12th. Original frets are freshly dressed, and the guitar has been strung with 10-46 strings. The pickup DC values are 5.9 / 5.8 / 7.2, neck to bridge. The pots are dated early 1980, and the body date was stamped in December of 1980. You’ll notice that the serial number indicates a 1979 manufacture date, however Fender continued using 1979 serial numbers into 1982.

The guitar is in excellent condition and shows less than average finish wear. There is some light buckle wear on the guitar’s back, a few dings on the back of the neck and around the headstock’s edges. We felt inclined to leave the Songbird Music sticker on the back of the headstock for posterity. 9.5lbs.
