A deep-bodied Padauk and Sitka OM that remains in near-new condition despite being 30 years old. Its voice has developed beautifully and offers the warmth, overtone richness, and nuanced subtlety that is distinctive of an older instrument. With sides that taper from 4-5/16 to 4” this OM’s increased air volume guarantees an increase in low-end presence and warmth without sacrificing the pretty upper-mid-range than an OM is famous for.

The guitar features scalloped X braces coupled with straight tone bars, maple bridge plate, small ebony bridge, and 25.4” scale. Wooden bindings, purflings and rosette, clear pickguard, one-piece mahogany neck with bound ebony fretboard. Gotoh tuners, bone nut and saddle.

The neck has a round carve not unlike a that of a 50’s Gibson. The nut width is 1-11/16” and the neck depth at the 1st fret is .835. The neck thickness at the 9th fret is .935”, which is more modern than vintage in feel and will surely be appreciated by most fingerstyle players. String spacing at the bridge is 2-1/8. We’ve set the guitar up with 12-53 strings and an action of 4-6 64ths.

With original hardshell case.
