Michael Greenfield is well established as one of the world's preeminent fingerstyle guitar builders. The Greenfield G3 is a concert size instrument that’s roughly proportioned like a 00-sized guitar. The classical inspired body shape offers versatility and lends itself well to a wider variety of musical styles. It offers beautiful clear highs and a surprisingly present bass response for a small-bodied instrument, thanks to Greenfield’s unique voicing and radial back brace design.

At first play, you'll notice the guitar's perfect string to string balance and pure, clean tone. The fundamental is very strong and focused, and the guitar's clear voice allows for the most intricate of melodic work to remain full, while not coloured by excessive overtones.

Western red cedar and figured Ziricote body with Greenfield's unique take on traditional X bracing. Bound in ebony, with carefully mitred purflings, and finished in a glass-perfect gloss lacquer. Paua and spalted beech rosette, blank fingerboard, ebony pinless bridge, wide compensated saddle, and gold Gotoh 510 tuning machines. 1-7/8” bone nut, 2-5/16” saddle, 25” scale. The 13-fret neck has a rounded D carve and is something of a hybrid classical/steel string design. The fretboard’s compound radius is 16” to 20”. Neck thickness at the 1st fret is .867”, and the guitar weighs 5.0lbs.

The guitar is in excellent condition and shows next to no fretwear or playwear. The only flaws on this Greenfield G3 are two tiny (1/8”) dings between the bridge and soundhole that have been drop-filled.
