2005 Hofner New President P55
Based on the design of the original President model introduced in the 1950s, the Hofner New President Vintage P55 features a 16" wide fully hollow archtop body with carved solid German spruce top and laminate flamed maple back and sides, maple neck, and ebony fingerboard. This guitar is number 55 in a limited run of 100 instruments.
Equipped with a Hofner Diamond floating pickup that allows the acoustic properties of the instrument to shine through when amplified, this guitar offers a rich voice with a forward midrange and clear top end. Set-up in shop with Thomastick Jazz Swing 12-50 and slinky action, this guitar offers excellent playability. The full, rounded neck profile fills the hand comfortably, making for a very enjoyable playing experience.
The guitar shows typical light playwear, with minor scrapes and small dents visible in the finish. The frets play cleanly and show very little wear.
Scale length of 25.3", nut width of 1-23/32", first fret depth of 0.87" and twelfth fret depth of .877", pickup DC reading of 9.2K, weight of 5lbs 5oz.
