Built in limited numbers in commemoration of both the 25th anniversary of the Les Paul Model, and Les Paul’s 50th anniversary in the guitar player business, the Les Paul 25/50 was a uniquely appointed variation of the model, designed to appeal to collectors and musicians alike.

Featuring a maple-capped mahogany body with front and back multi-line purflings, a 5-piece maple and ebony laminate neck with bound ebony fretboard and pearl inlays, a mix of gold and silver hardware, brass nut, and a 25/50 Les Paul Commemorative pearl inlay and engraved gold truss rod cover, this limited edition model is among the most lavishly appointed Les Paul variants that Gibson has ever produced.

Boasting a strongly figured maple top with a rich sunburst finish, this guitar is among the most attractive 25/50 Les Pauls that we have encountered. It’s in overall excellent condition, with light finish wear on the back of the neck between the 3rd and 7th frets being the only real blemish to speak of. The guitar shows typical signs of use, with very minor dings throughout and some tarnishing of the gold-plated hardware. Overall, it is clear that this guitar was very well cared for. This Les Paul 25/50 remains completely original down to the last screw.

Sporting a pair of powerful Bill Lawrence-designed Superhumbuckers, colloquially known as "Tarbacks," this Les Paul offers rich and full-bodied humbucker tone with excellent dynamics and clarity. The mini-switch allows for coil splitting, adding an extra layer of versatility to the instrument. The bridge pickup measures 8.16K. The neck pickup is currently reading 110.2K though it is functioning as expected. It's an excellent-sounding guitar with a voice that would find itself particularly comfortable in a rock music setting.

The neck has a medium C carve that is comfortable and fast, measuring 0.78” deep at the 1st fret and 0.953" at the 12th with a 1-11/16" nut width. 24.75" scale length. weight of 10lbs 10oz.

With non-original hardshell case.
