Whether it's fingerstyle or flatpicking, strumming or plucking, the Martin OM-28 has got you covered. Hands down the most versatile instrument in the Martin lineup, there's nothing that this guitar doesn't do well. It's loud and present, rumbly and open, balanced and strong; and it has just the right mix of fundamental and overtone in its voice.
The Y25 OM-28 has been upgraded with forward positioned Golden Era scalloped Sitka bracing, Martin’s new GE Modified low oval neck carve with a long 1930s style volute, rolled fretboard edges and an angled-bottom nut, and a 30s style belly bridge that’s fit with bone pins and saddle.
Like all of Martin's Standard Series models the OM-28 has a vintage aesthetic, with herringbone purflings, aged white bindings, vintage style open-geared tuners and an old-style headstock logo. Gloss lacquer finish, bevelled tortoise pickguard, slotted diamond fingerboard inlays, and red-eye bridge pins finish things off tastefully.
A very comfortable guitar to play and hold, the OM-28's 15" wide 000 size body is married to a neck that is carved with a 1-3/4” nut, 25.4” scale, and a first fret depth of about .820”.
With Martin deluxe hardshell case
