The Master Builders of Fender's Custom Shop produce guitars that are far more than just tools - these instruments are handcrafted works of art built to the highest standards that Fender has to offer.

Paul Waller joined the ranks of Fender's Master Builders in 2010 after a seven-year apprenticeship within the company. Among his achievements during his time at the Custom Shop include building instruments for Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, Bono and Adam Clayton of U2, Buddy Guy, and Nile Rogers.

Built by Paul Waller in 2013, this '61 Reissue Stratocaster is an excellent tribute to the Stratocasters of the "slab-board" era of the early '60s. With its aged Cherry Sunburst Finish over an ash body, this Strat is a tasteful imagining of a vintage instrument that never existed. Combining lightweight woods with a hardtail bridge configuration, this Custom Shop Fender is an astonishingly resonant and responsive guitar acoustically, which no doubt imparts some extra magic into the instrument's amplified tone.

Equipped with a trio of pickups hand wound by Josephina Campos of Fender's Custom Shop, this Stratocaster offers an incredible array of vintage-voiced tones with wonderful warmth and clarity in the neck, excellent harmonic balance and sparkle in the middle, and full-bodied bite in the bridge. With a 5-way selector switch, this Strat delivers a rich and dynamic response in positions 2 and 4 with all of the signature Strat quack that one would hope for. The Custom Deluxe Strat Deluxe neck carve is heavenly, and the well-dressed 6105 fretwire makes for a flawless playing experience.

Scale length of 25.5", nut width of 1-5/8", 1st fret depth of .871", 12th fret depth of .970". Pickup DC values of 6.7K in the bridge, 6.1k in the middle. and 6.0k in the neck. Feathery light at all of 6lbs 4oz.

With original hardshell case and CoA.
