B.B. King's signature Gibson ES-355 - dubbed "Lucille" by the blues legend - has become one the most recognizable and iconic instruments in the world of electric guitars.

Boasting a vibrant Cherry finish, gold hardware, 7-ply top binding, bound celluloid pick guard, ebony fingerboard with large block inlays, engraved truss rod cover, and a mother of pearl "Lucille" headstock inlay, this lavishly appointed 2001 Gibson Memphis Lucille is a stunning instrument that is surely fit for a King.

At nearly two and a half decades old, this 2001 Gibson Memphis B.B. King Lucille presents in near-new condition. Minor tarnishing of the gold plated hardware and a few hard to spot scratches are the only signs of play wear to be found on this instrument. Fretwear is virtually non-existent and the guitar plays cleanly throughout the fingerboard.

The pair of humbucker pickups offer tones that are full, clear, dynamic, and brimming with rich harmonic content, while the varitone circuit allows access to a range of colourful voicings that make this an incredibly versatile instrument. Early on in the guitar's life the bridge pickup was replaced with a Gibson '57 Classic that balances beautifully with the original Humbucker in the neck position. The original pickup selector switch failed and was replaced in-house.

Scale length of 24-3/4", nut width of 1-11/16", 1st fret depth 0.800", 12th fret depth of 0.978". Pickup DC values of 8.47k in the bridge and 7.52k in the neck. Weight of 10lbs.

With original hardshell case.
