1975 Martin D-35

Built almost exactly 50 years ago, this early 1975 Martin D-35 is in amazing condition, sounds gorgeous, and plays every bit as easily as a new guitar thanks to a recent neck reset by our shop. It is crack free and shows almost no playwear; the only modifications are a replacement pickguard, bone saddle, and a strap button in the neck heel. There are no reglued or repaired braces and all of the finish is original and without touchup.

With a well-developed and open voice, ample bass end warmth, midrange support and treble roundness, this D-35 is a wonderful strummer. It has excellent touch-sensitivity and a quick response, which are real plusses for fingerstyle playing.

Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood, ebony fretboard and bridge, multi-layered bindings, pearl fretboard dots, chrome Grover Rotomatics. International buyers please note that the original ivory nut will need to be replaced at their expense prior to shipping.

Full neck carve with 1-11/16” nut and 1st fret depth of .843”. 2-1/8” string spread at the saddle, 25.4” scale. Set up with 12-53 strings and an action of 5-7 64ths.

With original hardshell case.
