Martin’s DE Retro Plus Mahogany is a Road Series Dreadnought that brings the company’s torrefaction process - previously reserved for their high-end lines - into a much more accessible price point. Built with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, this new model offers remarkable responsiveness, a seasoned vintage tone, and the kind of clarity and warmth that make it an ideal choice for songwriters, flatpickers, and anyone who loves the classic Martin D-18 voice.
The DE Retro Plus is stage-ready and features Martin’s E1 electronics system with an onboard tuner and tone/volume controls tucked just inside the soundhole. With a full scale length of 25.4" this instrument features Martin’s Performing Artist neck profile - sleek and comfortable with a modern 1-3/4" nut width and a low oval shape that’s easy on the fretting hand, especially for players transitioning from electric or smaller-bodied acoustics.
